Product Overview
This 50.4V 40Ah lithium titanate battery delivers 2016 watt hours of energy with exceptional cycle life and extreme temperature tolerance. Rated for over 10000 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge while retaining more than 80 percent of original capacity, it outlasts most other lithium chemistries by a wide margin. The LTO chemistry allows safe charging and discharging from -40°C to 85°C, making it ideal for cold storage facilities, outdoor AGVs, and high temperature industrial environments. The integrated BMS provides complete protection and cell balancing.

Core Technical Specifications
Nominal voltage is 50.4V with 40Ah rated capacity and total energy of 2016Wh. Internal resistance is ≤30 milliohms. Round trip efficiency reaches 98 percent. Self discharge is less than 3 percent per month. The battery uses 22 cells in series with 1 parallel string (22S1P). Dimensions are 506mm length, 305mm width, and 285mm height. Discharge Performance
Continuous discharge current is 150 amps, suitable for high draw applications such as AGV drive motors and industrial equipment. Pulse discharge current reaches 250 amps for less than 0.5 seconds, handling startup surges. BMS discharge cut off voltage is 33V with reconnect at 37.4V. Recommended voltage disconnect is also 33V. Short circuit protection activates when current exceeds 500A, triggering within 100 to 1000 microseconds.

Charge Parameters
Charging uses the CC CV method with charge voltage range of 60.5V to 61.6V. Recommended float voltage is 59.4V to 60.5V. The recommended charge current is 40 amps for standard charging, while the maximum charge current is 150 amps for fast charging. BMS charge cut off voltage is set to 62.7V.

Extreme Temperature Range
This LTO battery operates in the widest temperature range of any lithium battery. Discharge temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, allowing use in freezers, outdoor Arctic conditions, and hot engine compartments. Charge temperature range is also -40°C to 85°C, meaning no heating is required even at subzero temperatures. Storage temperature range is 0°C to 35°C for long term preservation. BMS high temperature cut off is set to 90°C.

Cycle Life and Longevity
With over 10000 cycles at 100 percent depth of discharge, this battery provides more than 27 years of daily cycling before reaching 80 percent capacity. For applications that require multiple partial cycles per day, the lifespan extends even further. The low self discharge of less than 3 percent per month allows long idle periods without maintenance charging.

Communication and Monitoring
RS485 and CAN ports enable direct communication with inverters, AGV controllers, and battery monitoring systems. Real time data includes voltage, current, temperature, state of charge, cycle count, and fault status. This makes the battery suitable for automated systems that require integration with vehicle control units.

Applications
This 50.4V 40Ah LTO battery is ideal for Automated Guided Vehicles operating in cold storage warehouses where temperatures drop below freezing. It powers electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and floor cleaning machines in unheated environments. For off grid solar storage in mountain or arctic regions, the battery charges directly from solar even at -40°C without heaters. Other applications include backup power for outdoor telecom base stations, railway equipment, vehicles, and marine systems in polar regions.

BMS Protection Features
The internal Battery Management System provides overcharge protection with cutoff at 62.7V. Over discharge protection cuts off at 33V. Over current protection limits discharge to 150A continuous and 250A pulse. Short circuit protection triggers above 500A. Temperature protection includes high temperature cutoff at 90°C and both charge and discharge operation across -40°C to 85°C. Cell balancing ensures all 22 series cells maintain equal voltage.

Installation Recommendations
Mount the battery on a flat stable surface indoors or in an enclosure. The IP30 protection rating makes it suitable for indoor or protected outdoor use but not for direct water spray. Use appropriately sized cables for 150A continuous current with the WNHVIPT-3 terminal type. For AGV integration, connect the CAN bus to the vehicle controller for state of charge data. In cold environments, no heater is required because the battery charges natively at -40°C.

Comparison with LiFePO4 and Lead Acid
LiFePO4 batteries typically charge only down to 0°C and require heaters below that. Lead acid batteries lose over 50 percent of capacity at -20°C. This LTO battery maintains full charge acceptance and discharge capability at -40°C without any heating. Cycle life of 10000 cycles far exceeds LiFePO4 (4000 cycles) and lead acid (500 cycles). The tradeoff is lower energy density: 2016Wh at 42kg equals 48Wh per kg, which is lower than LiFePO4. For applications where cold operation and long life are more important than weight, LTO is the superior choice.
