51.2V 105Ah Golf Cart LiFePO4 Battery 150A Discharge Built in Heater IP67
![]()
The LFP48-105 is a 51.2V 105Ah lithium iron phosphate battery specifically designed for golf carts and low speed electric vehicles. It stores 5376 watt hours of energy and delivers 150A continuous discharge current (250A pulse for up to 120 seconds), providing ample power for hills, acceleration, and extended range. The integrated Battery Management System includes passive balancing and a built in heater that activates automatically when charging below 0°C, allowing reliable operation in cold climates. The IP67 rated SPCC steel housing is dust tight and waterproof, ideal for outdoor golf course conditions.
Core Specifications
Nominal voltage is 51.2V with 105Ah capacity. Total energy is 5376Wh. Internal resistance is ≤45mΩ. Efficiency is 98 percent. Self discharge is less than 5 percent per month. The battery uses 16 cells in series with 1 parallel string (16S1P). Dimensions are 460mm width, 334mm depth, and 247mm height. Weight is 46 kilograms. Terminal type is FCC1020B rated for 200A. Discharge Performance
Continuous discharge current is 150 amps, sufficient for a fully loaded golf cart on steep terrain. Pulse discharge current reaches 250 amps for less than 120 seconds, handling sudden acceleration and hill climbing. BMS discharge cut off voltage is 40V with reconnect at 43.2V. Recommended voltage disconnect is also 40V. Short circuit protection activates in 300 to 800 microseconds.

Built in Heater for Cold Weather
This battery is designed for year round golfing. When the battery temperature drops below 0°C and charging voltage is applied, the internal heating system automatically warms the cells to a safe temperature before allowing charge current. This enables reliable charging at ambient temperatures as low as -30°C. Discharge is also possible from -30°C to 65°C, making the battery suitable for winter golf or cold storage facilities.
Cycle Life and Longevity
Cycle life exceeds 4000 cycles at 100 percent depth of discharge while retaining over 80 percent of original capacity (tested at 25°C, 0.5C charge/discharge). For a golf cart that completes one full charge cycle per day, this provides over 10 years of service. The low self discharge and maintenance free design eliminate watering and equalization charges required by lead acid.

Communication and Interfaces
RS485 and CAN ports allow the battery to communicate with golf cart controllers, chargers, and display meters. The screen interface (WY16K4Z 5A) connects to an external power display for real time state of charge monitoring. The RJ45 debugging parallel interface simplifies firmware updates and parallel battery configuration.
Applications
This battery is ideal for 48V to 51.2V electric golf carts, buggies, and turf vehicles. It also suits low speed neighborhood electric vehicles, utility vehicles, floor cleaning machines, scissor lifts, and small AGVs. The built in heater and IP67 rating make it suitable for outdoor use in all seasons.

Comparison to Lead Acid
A typical lead acid golf cart battery bank (six 8V batteries) weighs approximately 150kg, lasts only 500 cycles, and requires weekly watering. This single LiFePO4 pack weighs 46kg, lasts 4000 cycles, and is maintenance free. It provides consistent voltage throughout discharge so the cart does not slow down as the battery drains. Fast charging reduces downtime between rounds.
